 As lead Catering Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Catering Shift Managers (CSMs) and catering teams to deliver smooth and effective running of the commercial catering department on a day to day basis.

 More than just managing, you will lead by example to ensure your team deliver the exceptional level of service, behaviour and standards that our customers expect of the Westmorland Family.

 As the lead CSM you will be responsible for:

o Day to day operation and standards of the department with a team of CSM’s, team leaders and team members

o Accountable for recruiting, training and development and leading a high performance culture dealing with performance and conduct issues appropriately

 o Accountable for ensuring all department paperwork is delivered timely, accurately and to the highest standards including COSHH controls and company Health and Safety

 o Plan, forecast and complete rotas to maximise staffing levels taking account of customer demand, trade, holiday and absence management

 o Accountable for correctly monitoring and controlling all processes to deliver margins in line with Company targets, including stock levels and wastage

 o Providing support and offer guidance to CSM’s, Team Leaders and Team members to help them achieve their personal best and celebrate success

 o Actively work with the management team to contribute to the success of the wider business and customer experience

 o Driving sales growth and assisting the Catering Operations Manager with delivering financial performance

 The successful candidate will have proven experience in people management, ideally in a high volume catering operation. You will relish the challenge of leading and developing a large and diverse team to achieve their best and be able to evidence successful recruitment and development of others. Your key strengths will include organisation, communication, and analysis and problem solving skills.

 You will have a passion to provide fresh, homemade, local food of the highest quality and experience of introducing seasonal menu launches. In addition you will have experience of financial controls including, sales, P & L, stock management and margin

 Hours: Full Time (40 hours) full flexibility to work 5 out of 7 shifts on a shift pattern

 Salary: £26,000 per annum
