Here at the Westmorland Family, food is at the heart of what we do. We are intensely proud of our homemade food and our team of chefs work tirelessly to make it the best we can. Wherever possible we use local produce which includes beef and lamb from our own farm at Orton.

In our Central Production Unit based at The Rheged Centre in Penrith, our homemade food is produced in high volumes and then distributed to the award winning Tebay Services, 20 minutes away and Cairn
Lodge Services, on the M74 in Scotland.

We require a passionate individual to manage the kitchen in our Central Production Unit. The ideal person will have experience of managing a busy food production business with a passion for local produce and food development as well as effective people management skills and experience of food ordering systems and managing departmental rotas. We also expect the successful candidate to have a working knowledge of health and safety and food safety regulations.

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

This position is section manager level with associated benefits.

Salary: £20-25,000, dependant on experience
