We have an opportunity for a creatively minded buyer to join our team in the Westmorland Family Head Office here in Cumbria and reporting to our Head of Lifestyle. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a number of categories in our farm shops including children's clothing and toys, ceramics and glassware, seasonal and gifting.
The role will be accountable for:
â€¢ Working as part of the lifestyle team to create a unified brand identity that demonstrates our belief in current design, craft and ethically led products.
â€¢ Creative and financial performance of your product ranges. Driving sales and profit growth by developing the product offer, monitoring product ranges to achieve target margins and appropriate sell through.
â€¢ Leading the product sourcing strategy for your categories, managing and building great supplier relationships as well as being able to innovate and find new opportunities
â€¢ Working with the Visual merchandising team to help shape the vision for the VM of your ranges ensuring the ranges are delivered across all sites in line with the original plan
â€¢ Working with the operational teams to ensure they develop an understanding of the product and sales patterns to deliver high level of customer service and engage with the teams to implement and drive sales
â€¢ Working alongside the marketing team to ensure the ranges are implemented well and communicated effectively to customers
â€¢ Setting and upholding appropriate pricing, promotional and range plans in line with company policies and legal requirements
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience in a relevant buying role who has the creative ability to combine design led thinking with commercial results. You should be able to demonstrate strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills. The ideal candidate would also possess good knowledge of the market and be up to date on current trends, and have an ability to analyse data to inform commercial decisions, good personal organisation and ability to work to deadlines.
