Our Farmshop including our Butchers Counters and Quick Kitchens remain open and are well stocked - Safe Travels from the Westmorland Family.


We know you might just be passing through our services, but these are unprecedented times and call for clear communications and peace of mind. While we may not be the obvious shop in a crisis, we're actually well placed to fill the gap on the motorway.

 

The key is the word services and we aim to be a safe place for drivers to stop, but we are so much more; we're farmers, a shop window for local producers, a butcher, and a local food retailer.

 

The Westmorland family takes pride in the standards we have in our Farmshops and Kitchens and we're dedicated to creating safe, homecooked food prepared by wonderful colleagues.

 

We're closely following government guidelines, but we thought it might be helpful to update you on the steps we've taken to ensure our Motorway Services remain safe and open.

 

 

  • Please be reassured that teams have elevated their already high standards of hygiene, incorporating additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures and frequency.
  • We will continue to uphold stringent standards of hygiene and cleanliness around the services including regular disinfecting of key areas such as door handles, taps and toilets. Hand sanitiser and soap is readily and widely available for customers and colleagues.
  • We have paused accepting reusable cups; however we will continue to honour double loyalty points if you have your cup with you. We'll return to using reusable cups when it is safe to do so.
  • We have covered all loose produce to prevent contamination and have stopped producer tastings.
  • You can still get our homemade meals and snacks, but to takeaway only. Our indoor seating areas are now closed.
  • We have moved all cutlery and napkins to behind our tills, so they can be passed to you.
  • We're only accepting payment by card and asking customers to self-scan where appropriate.
  • We continue to reinforce regular, thorough hand washing for all our colleagues. Our teams wash their hands as frequently as possible.
  • We've the benefit of big open spaces both inside and of course outside enjoying our wonderful views.
  • We are carefully following Government advice on self-isolation and are looking after our colleagues that need to take time from the business.
  • We have installed social distancing footprint dots around our business at checkouts and other areas to ensure customers can safely shop with us
  • We are installing safety screens at our checkouts for the benefit of colleagues and customers

 

Our Farmshops including our Butchery remain fully open. We are monitoring the situation and will continue to keep you up to date.
